Liver fritters with potatoes

Required products

  • 500 g liver (beef or pork)
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 spoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 0,5 or salt
  • ground pepper
  • oil for frying
  • 6 potatoes
  • 1 a spoon butter

Making

  • Peel and boil the potatoes. Drain them when cooked, and sprinkle with dill. While the potatoes are boiling, you can make the meatballs.
  • Cut the liver into strips, soak in milk for 15 minutes. Drain, grind the liver and onion in a meat grinder or chop with a hand blender.
  • Add salt, pepper, and an egg. Mix well. You will get a liquid batter, similar to that for pancakes.
  • Spoon the dough into the hot fat. When one side is nicely browned, carefully flip it over with a wider spatula to fry the other side. Fry one side for about 3 minutes.
  • Serve with boiled potatoes and your favorite vegetables.
