About me

I think I need to introduce myself, who I am, hiding behind the name Kitchenfantasies.
My name is Asta, I should be quite an adult now, I have two grown sons and one little grandson. I am from Šiauliai region, I have been living in Norway since 2011.
My main activity is creating and administering websites/e-stores, and I am interested in many things - photography, food culture, sometimes I sit down at the sewing machine, pick up knitting needles or a needle. I like repaired/recycled things - redesign - just to make it easier for our planet.
I'm not a professional chef/baker, but I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, and my motto there is – Use your imagination!
I started my food blog recently, although I had the idea even before I moved to Norway. I just kept finding more important things to do and putting off the most interesting things. But with the great support of my husband, I decided it was time – when else, if not now.
I'm currently collecting my recipes that are scattered everywhere, researching my old recipe notebook, adding a bit of imagination, and seeing what happens.
I really like what I do, I genuinely enjoy it.
Some recipes end up on the Facebook page, others are written here, on my website and in the foodtips app. https://app.foodtips.me This is how I have my recipes grouped together, because otherwise I can't maintain order, I often have a mess, what I call - creative chaos.
I write in Lithuanian on Facebook, Lithuanian and Norwegian on my website. The food app foodtips has information in Lithuanian, Norwegian and English.
When collecting information, I collect what interests me the most: interesting recipes, spices, and food-related curiosities.
I'm not committed to any diet, but I will have recipes (not all) with calculated calories, and there will also be some that could be used on a low-carb, Mediterranean diet, or that meet the principles of some diets.
If you decide that you are interested in what I do/write – follow me, share with your friends, write comments, cook together. I will be very grateful..
PS In the photo, I'm wearing a cloud crown, I feel a bit like a queen of the clouds.
