Meatballs in cream-tomato sauce

Ingredients

  • 300 g minced meat
  • 1 onion
  • 2 spoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • salt, ground pepper
  • 200 ml tomato puree
  • 100 ml water
  • 100 ml cream
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  • Add finely chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper and a couple of tablespoons of cold water to the minced meat. Knead everything well and form meatballs and fry them in oil. Bake on both sides for 3-5 minutes depending on the size of the meatballs.
  • When the meatballs are cooked, pour in the tomato puree, water, salt and ground pepper. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes, then add the cream and bring to the boil.

Naudinga

We like it best with mashed potatoes and vegetable salad, but the meatballs can also be accompanied by pasta or rice.
