Dinner for One Living together has its challenges

I’ll be honest – consistency on social media i $I’ll be honest – consistency on social media isn’t my strongest skill. We eat every day, I photograph almost every day, and yet… only a tiny fraction of my kitchen ever makes it online. But my kitchen is not just a place for cooking – it’s a creative space. If we can have art studios and creative workshops, why can’t a kitchen be one? When I want color, flowers, and flavors, I simply bring them in. Savory tarts feel undeniably French to me – and France has a very special place in my heart, right alongside my two home countries, Lithuania and Norway. This ricotta–zucchini tart is one of those dishes I could happily eat without meat for days. It’s comforting and warm straight from the oven for dinner, yet equally delicious the next day when cooled – perfect as a light lunch, a picnic snack, or a quick bite with coffee. Ricotta & Zucchini Tart – A Slice of France in My Kitchen For the crust 175 g (1 ¼ cups) flour 120 g (½ cup) cold butter 1 egg yolk 2 tbsp cold water ¼ tsp salt For the filling ½ yellow zucchini ½ green zucchini 100 g (about 1 cup) cherry tomatoes 250 g (1 cup) ricotta cheese 2 eggs Salt, freshly ground pepper, and your favorite fresh or dried herbs 40 g (⅓ cup) Parmesan cheese Serving Tip: Pair this tart with a crisp green salad and a glass of chilled white wine for a light, elegant meal.
