Sand dough biscuits - peanut rings

Ingredients

  • 350 g flour
  • 200 g room temperature butter
  • 1 egg
  • 120 g sugar
  • 1 arb.sh. vanilla sugar
  • ½ arb.sh. baking powder

For a sprinkling

  • 1 egg
  • 80 g roasted peanuts

Instructions

  • Beat the butter well with the butter.

  • Beat the egg into the butter, add the vanilla sugar and baking powder and mix.
  • Add the flour to the dough in batches. Knead the dough into a workable dough. Refrigerate for half an hour.

  • Roll out the cooled dough to a thickness of about 5 mm, press out the circles with a mould or a glass (the glass will have a smooth edge), place them on a baking sheet lined with paper, and squeeze out the centre with a small glass or a bottle stopper. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with chopped nuts.

  • Bake at 180℃ for 12-15 minutes.
