Required products
- 200 ml lemon juice
- 200 g sugar
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 a spoon grated lemon peel
- 150 g butter

Making
- Combine the lemon juice, sugar, egg yolks, and grated lemon zest in a small saucepan/container. Place the container in a larger saucepan of boiling water. Stir the entire mixture constantly until it begins to thicken.
- When it starts to thicken, remove from the hot water, strain to remove any lemon peel. Add the butter and mix well. The butter should melt.
- Pour into jars with lids and store in the refrigerator when cool.
