Ingredients
- 4 onions
- 2 spoons butter
- 1 l water or broth, using broth, add less salt and spices, taste
- 1 arb.sh. salt
- ground pepper
- Thyme
- 1 arb.sh. Worcestershire sauce
- 4 slices bar
- 4 handfuls grated cheese

Instructions
- Peel and slice the onions and cut them into rings.
- Melt the butter in a frying pan and add the fried onions, fry over a medium heat, stirring to prevent over-frying, for about 10 minutes.
- Place the fried onions in a saucepan, add the water (or stock), salt, pepper and thyme and simmer for 20 minutes, adding the Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the cooked soup into heatproof dishes, top with a slice of toasted sweet potato and a handful of grated cheese.
- Place in an oven preheated to 220℃ and bake for about 15 minutes.
