Caramelised onions

Ingredients

  • 3 onions both yellow traditional and red
  • 1 spoon oil
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 arb.sh. brown sugar
  • 2 arb.sh. balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  • Cut the onions into thin rings.

  • Place in the hot oil. Fry over low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent them from sweating.
  • When the onions have softened and become transparent, add the sugar and butter and balsamic vinegar. Cook, stirring constantly, for about 10 minutes.
  • Place the baked ones in a jar with a lid.

Naudinga

Suitable for burgers, sandwiches. Very tasty with herring.
The jar can stay in the fridge for about a week when screwed shut.
