- 50 ml water
Prevent your screen from going dark
Instructions
- Bring a little water to the boil in the saucepan in which you will be making the curd (about 50 ml, so that it doesn't attract the heated milk)
- When the water boils, add the milk and heat until almost boiling and small bubbles start to rise.
- Then add the kefir to the heated milk, stir and turn off the heat. The milk is curdled into cottage cheese pieces.
- Take a sieve (put it on top of another pot or bowl), place a cheesecloth in it and pour in the curdled milk to drain the liquid.
- Let the liquid drain, 10 minutes was enough for me. Yielded 455 g of cottage cheese
Naudinga
- You can use more kefir, or even just kefir. If you make it with kefir only, then heat it for a shorter time, until it starts to pull into pieces and the liquid starts to separate.
- The liquid that is separated can be used to make pancakes.
